Position: Indirect Procurement Specialist
Company: Valmet

In the role of Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will report directly to the Category Leader for Indirects, managing all indirect procurement activities. This includes overseeing the acquisition of vital goods and services that support our operational needs. You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers
  • Maintain and update the supplier database
  • Prepare and issue requests for quotes (RFQs) to suppliers
  • Draft and manage purchase orders (POs)
  • Conduct negotiations and manage procurement activities in line with established guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management, or Engineering
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP is advantageous
  • Fluent in both Italian and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Demonstrated work ethic
  • Collaborative team player and adept problem solver
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
