Position Overview

We are seeking a Demand Planner Intern to support our operations. In this capacity, the intern will aid in formulating the production schedule and generating work orders, alongside issuing purchase orders. The role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials (both inbound and outbound) to fulfill sales orders efficiently and on time. This includes close cooperation with Customer Service, Logistics & Warehouse, and Procurement to guarantee a consistent supply of products to our clients. The intern will also assist in monitoring essential metrics and conducting demand and forecast analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate monthly statistical forecasts and forecast discrepancies to implement adjustments and recommendations for the demand plan as part of the EMEA S&OP process.
  • Create lots and issue work orders to stabilize the production schedule.
  • Communicate findings and analyses with various stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Collaborate with other STERIS divisions to issue internal requisitions based on monthly forecasts and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Develop monthly production plans for designated manufacturing sites and monthly requirements for purchased finished goods.
  • Assist in conducting KPI analyses and preparing reports.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Economics or Engineering is preferred.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, particularly Excel.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
