Position Overview

We are seeking a Demand Planner Intern to contribute to our operations. In this capacity, the intern will assist in formulating the production schedule and generating work orders, alongside issuing purchase orders. The role involves supporting the coordination and oversight of material flow (both inbound and outbound) to ensure that sales orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly. Collaboration with Customer Service, Logistics & Warehouse, and Procurement is essential to guarantee a sufficient supply of products for our customers. Additionally, the intern will aid in monitoring key performance indicators and conducting demand/forecast analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate monthly statistical forecasts and forecast discrepancies to implement adjustments or recommendations into the demand plan as part of the EMEA S&OP process.
  • Create production lots and issue work orders to stabilize the production schedule.
  • Communicate findings and analyses with various stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Collaborate with other STERIS divisions to process internal requisitions based on monthly forecasts and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop monthly production plans for designated manufacturing sites as well as monthly requirements for purchased finished goods.
  • Assist in the analysis and reporting of key performance indicators.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Economics or Engineering.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills.
