Position Overview

We are seeking a Demand Planner Intern to support our operations. In this capacity, the intern will aid in formulating the production schedule and generating work orders, as well as managing purchase orders. The role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials (both inbound and outbound) to fulfill sales orders efficiently and promptly. Close cooperation with Customer Service, Logistics & Warehouse, and Procurement teams is essential to maintain a steady supply of products to our clients. Additionally, the intern will assist in monitoring key performance indicators and conducting demand and forecast analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate monthly statistical forecasts and forecast discrepancies to propose adjustments for the demand plan as part of the EMEA Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Create production lots and issue work orders to stabilize the production schedule.
  • Communicate findings and analyses with various stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Collaborate with other STERIS divisions to process internal requisitions based on monthly forecasts and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Develop monthly production plans for designated manufacturing sites and outline monthly needs for purchased finished goods.
  • Assist in conducting KPI analysis and generating reports.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Economics or Engineering.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Self-driven, organized, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills.
