Watershed Program Coordinator

Job Summary

The Cleveland Metroparks is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Watershed Volunteer Program Assistant to provide administrative and technical support to the day-to-day operations of the Watershed Volunteer Program. This role will work closely with the Watershed Volunteer Coordinator to ensure the smooth execution of program activities, including database management, reporting, event coordination, volunteer recruitment, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily coordination and administrative duties of the Watershed Volunteer Program, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain volunteers, including identifying and maintaining relationships with community groups and organizations.
• Track and process volunteer requests and applications, ensuring seamless integration with program activities.
• Collaborate with the Volunteer Services team to coordinate events, trainings, and presentations, and provide support for independent volunteer projects.
• Develop and maintain program evaluation and reporting tools, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Respond to routine inquiries from volunteers and the public, providing excellent customer service and support.
• Host learning opportunities, monitoring events, and restoration activities, representing the Watershed Volunteer program at community events.
• Write and distribute regular communications to volunteers and partners, including e-newsletters and updates.
• Perform data entry and material distribution duties, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers, and the public.
