We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Product Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Trustworthy Shopping Experience team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our products in the EU market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Product Safety Strategy: Build and execute a comprehensive product safety strategy that aligns with Amazon's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Product Safety Team: Lead a team of product experts, risk managers, and program managers to ensure the effective implementation of product safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with various Amazon teams, including Legal, Risk Operations, Software Development, Applied Science, and Selling Partner Services, to ensure seamless execution of product safety initiatives.
- Identify and Mitigate Product Risks: Identify emerging product safety trends and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and Implement Product Regulations: Evaluate and implement new product regulations in the UK and Europe, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Measure and Improve Product Safety Processes: Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of product safety processes and identify areas for improvement.
- 10+ years of experience in program, product, or operations management, with at least 7 years of experience managing teams.
- Business proficiency in English and one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Italian, or German.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience.
