We are seeking a talented Traction Powertrain System Engineer to join our team at Alstom, a global leader in the transportation industry.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative train traction and powertrain systems using fuel cells, energy storage, and hybrid technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop train architectures based on fuel cell, energy storage, and hybrid systems to meet traction performance requirements.
  • Define battery solutions for fuel cell and hybrid power traction systems.
  • Optimize battery and fuel cell sizes to meet train power performance needs.
  • Manage thermal and electrical performance of fuel cell and energy storage systems and ensure seamless train integration.
  • Develop and implement train test and validation strategies in collaboration with the validation team.
  • Manage customer, internal, and transversal requirements, allocating them to technical solutions.
  • Lead technical meetings with customers and suppliers.
  • Document and share project experiences.
  • Supervise commissioning and validation activities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Energy or Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in product development.

Fluency in English is required, and the ability to work in a team and share work results is essential.
