Job Title: Traction Powertrain System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traction Powertrain System Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our innovation team, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge train traction and powertrain systems using fuel cells, energy storage, and hybrid technologies.

Purpose of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Defining train architectures based on fuel cell, energy storage, and hybrid systems to meet traction performance requirements
  • Developing battery solutions for fuel cell and hybrid power traction systems
  • Designing and optimizing fuel cell and energy storage systems for train power performance
  • Managing train integration and thermal performance
  • Developing test and validation strategies for train systems
  • Managing customer, internal, and transversal requirements
  • Coordinating with suppliers and customers to ensure technical requirements are met
  • Returning experience from projects to improve future developments

Educational Requirements and Skills

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in Energy or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' experience in product development. Fluency in English is required, and the ability to work in a team and share work results is essential.
