About the Role

The Oberalp Group, a leading management-driven family business, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team at Wild Country. As a key member of our marketing department, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, engage our audience, and support sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Campaign Management: Plan and develop seasonal marketing campaigns aligned with our overall brand strategy, ensuring effective execution and monitoring of campaign performance.
  • Product Marketing: Create compelling product messaging and positioning for Wild Country's climbing gear and equipment, working closely with the product development team to understand product features and benefits.
  • Social Media Management & Athletes Management: Oversee Wild Country's social media channels, develop innovative strategies to grow our social media following, and manage relationships with sponsored athletes and ambassadors.
  • Communication & PR: Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and press relations, developing and distributing press releases and other PR materials.
  • International Business Support: Support online business initiatives, including e-commerce marketing and digital advertising, working closely with international sales teams to develop trade marketing activities and support materials for international wholesale partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand management and campaign development.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies in the outdoor industry or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
