We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Rome.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring day-to-day activities related to security and occupational safety and health (OSH), staying updated on safety regulations and standards applicable, and supporting the identification of measures and processes to protect workers and ensure safety at the workplaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and stay updated on safety regulations and standards applicable
  • Support identifying measures and processes to help protect workers and ensure safety at the workplaces
  • Support in the evaluation and assessment of workplace environment and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Develop safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with local laws and regulations
  • Support the coordination of OSH visits and/or medical programs and maintain relevant records
  • Support organizing and conducting health and safety induction/trainings and develop related materials for possible consultation, as needed
  • Investigate health-related complaints to ensure compliance with health legislation and regulations
  • Support the responsible officer in the purchase of security items and services and maintain related database and inventory
  • Support controlling entrance and departure of employees/visitors as needed
Requirements:
  • Three-year University degree in administrative studies, environmental science, engineering, and/or other relevant fields
  • Previous relevant professional experience in similar tasks of at least 2 years
  • Excellent command of both English and Italian language
Advantages:
  • Experience in supporting the management of framework contracts with regard to occupational health and safety at workplace
  • Previous experience within an international and multicultural environment
