Core Responsibilities of the Role

Directs and oversees all operations to achieve and fulfill overall business goals, maintaining accountability for profit and loss. Provides strategic vision and leadership to the team. Collaborates across functions and divisions to meet key objectives. Shapes the strategic trajectory of the organization for both short and long-term success, including annual business plans and long-range strategic initiatives. Allocates resources effectively across various marketing channels, implementing essential initiatives such as market research, pricing strategies, advertising, and promotional activities. Exhibits strong leadership qualities, uniting the organization towards a shared vision while fostering creativity, innovation, and calculated risk-taking. Attracts diverse talent and cultivates a high-performing team with a balanced mix of consumer packaged goods and healthcare professional experience, creating an environment conducive to coaching and development. Ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards in a global business context.

Detailed Responsibilities

– Formulates a comprehensive business strategy that aligns with corporate objectives, considers stakeholder interests, adheres to timelines, and respects budget constraints. Engages collaboratively with the leadership team to integrate diverse ideas into strategic planning. Identifies future business opportunities and market dynamics to develop sustainable strategies that yield competitive advantages. – Prioritizes initiatives based on thorough risk/reward assessments. Clearly communicates objectives and milestones to guide team execution towards desired outcomes. Encourages innovative and creative applications while ensuring timelines and financial targets are met. – Regularly evaluates the effectiveness and return on investment of strategic initiatives. Analyzes data and proposals from various sources to ensure alignment and make necessary adjustments. Stays informed on industry trends to identify key growth drivers. – Fosters and enhances relationships with consumers, customers, and key stakeholders. Anticipates future needs and implements proactive strategies to stay ahead of competitors. Builds partnerships that support the overall business strategy and drives brand positioning and competitive selling strategies. – Pursues personal development and continuous learning, encouraging the same in others. Acts as a role model by demonstrating ethical principles and behaviors, ensuring team members have opportunities to grow their skills. Proactively manages performance and prepares the talent pool for future opportunities while embracing diversity within the organization.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Proven track record of managing complex commercial operations with profit and loss responsibility exceeding US$50MM, achieving market share growth that outpaces competitors. A minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-brand, multi-category healthcare commercial roles, ideally encompassing both contract-driven and direct-to-consumer markets. Experience in the nutritional sector is a plus. Demonstrated success in accessing and growing institutional channels through effective management strategies. Proven capability to develop and implement intricate strategic business plans and budgets. Ability to anticipate market fluctuations and prepare contingency plans in response to regional competitive and regulatory changes. Strong analytical skills for interpreting consumer insights and business intelligence. Executive presence and engagement with senior leadership, with prior general management experience or at least 5 years in a senior role with cross-functional leadership responsibilities, preferably with a focus on Italy. Proficiency in Italian is required.
