Job Summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Unity Lab Services team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Liquid Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, and Mass Spectrometry products within our designated territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues in our customer care center to efficiently schedule service visits and meet customer expectations.
  • Install and demonstrate our products, guiding customers on use and maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, qualifications, and repair on customer instruments to improve instrument uptime and availability.
  • Document maintenance and qualification activities to meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Professional training or university degree in Science or mechanical/electronic/medical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in an analytical laboratory is a plus.
  • Curiosity about analytical instruments, systems, applications, new products, and technologies.
  • Self-organized and efficient work style.
  • Collaborative nature and positive appearance.
  • Good knowledge of local language and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Good hardware and software skills, especially Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office package.
  • Ability to travel within the designated area and occasionally within the EMEA region.
  • Valid driving license (Class B).
