Job Title: Network Lab Administrator
Job Summary:
Setting Srl is seeking a highly skilled Network Lab Administrator to join our team. As a Network Lab Administrator, you will be responsible for providing daily support to our network engineers who use the lab for testing, evaluation, and development of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support network engineers in the lab for testing, evaluation, and development of services
- Introduce tools, databases, and processes for inventory management, alarm management, and configuration management
- Create, scale, and improve lab environments and reduce lab activity time through proactive monitoring
- Identify and implement continuous improvement activities in the lab
- Manage stakeholders with implementation teams and lab users to reduce long delays in patches and improve ticket closure times for lab cases
- Ensure lab environment security with appropriate firewalls and user access policies
- Act as a point of escalation in the lab to support urgent problems
- Manage the lifecycle of lab devices and servers
Requirements:
- Good experience in IP Routing and Switching
- Knowledge of various types of fibers (SM, MM) and transceivers
- CCNA certification or equivalent
- Experience as a lab administrator or support for a Telco/ISP/Enterprise
- Degree in an engineering discipline including telecommunications modules
- 5 years of experience in IMS fixed/mobility voice networks
- Excellent knowledge of SIP and SDP protocols
- Good ability to read call traces using tools like Wireshark
- Good knowledge of Italian interconnection rules between operators and TIM as ST769
- Basic knowledge of the Linux operating system (routing configuration, NIC configuration, log management)
- Excellent proficiency in English (minimum level C1)
- Prior experience in the Telco sector is mandatory
