Senior Software Engineer C++

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team at OPEN MIND Technologies AG. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing low-level mathematical algorithms in our geometrical kernel.
Our innovative CAD/CAM technologies ensure significantly higher performance in the programming process and set international standards in machining production. Your Key Responsibilities- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with our creative team to analyze the requirements for new and ongoing development of our CAD software.
- Software Enhancement: Enhance existing software modules and participate in implementing new product features to improve functionality and usability.
- Algorithm Design and Development: Maintain and increase basic geometrical kernel functions for colleagues and product management. Design and develop algorithms aimed at supporting the whole design process within our software.
- Agile Collaboration: Work collaboratively and in an agile manner with our product management and innovation team, engaging in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project objectives.
- Idea Contribution: Actively contribute your innovative ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new solution concepts, fostering a collaborative and constructive environment within the team.
- Educational Background: Successfully completed studies in mathematics, physics, or mechanical engineering, providing a solid foundation for the role.
- Proficiency in C++: Possess in-depth knowledge and proficiency in C++, enabling you to contribute effectively to software development tasks.
- Experience in Software Development: 3-5 years of professional experience working with software used in development, showcasing your ability to navigate and contribute to complex software projects.
- Passion for Mathematical Problem-Solving: Show a strong interest in mathematical questions, such as those from differential geometry or computational geometry, and derive practical solutions. Deep knowledge in NURBS is required, advantageous.
- Fluency in Communication: Communicate fluently (at least B2) in both languages Italian and English, facilitating effective collaboration and communication within the team.
