Director of Finance Job Description

A seasoned finance professional is sought to lead the financial operations of a luxury hotel and residential complex in Naples, Florida, providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring the hotel's financial resources are utilized to maximize profitability.

About the Location:

Naples, Florida, is a rare gem on the Gulf Coast, offering a tranquil retreat along the city's most treasured beaches. The exclusive collection of 156 luxurious beachfront condos and 220-room hotel is integrated with a private club for residents and outside members, featuring a golf course, tennis courts, and pickle ball.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the hotel's assets and financial resources are safeguarded to maximize profitability.
  • Network within the community to attract potential candidates and understand the competitive market.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to establish policies, rules, internal controls, and safeguards.
  • Deliver high-quality financial reporting and analysis, internal control compliance, and business management.
  • Verify bank accounts are opened with a bank of strong financial standing and utilize local rating services for verification of financial strength.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports of the hotel's financial results in established corporate formats.
  • Maintain files on all contracts, leases, and agreements, ensuring compliance with their requirements.
  • Closely monitor and effectively manage labor costs in compliance with applicable Employment Laws.
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets as required by corporate office, management agreements, or Residential governing documents.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience in a related position with Four Seasons or another organization.
  • Four years' experience as a hotel/resort Director of Finance preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of all jobs in the Accounting area.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all responsibilities and tasks.
  • High degree of professional integrity and ability to work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
  • Commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Minimum of BSC or BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Visa Requirements:

US work authorization is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L-1 visa sponsorship.
