Position Overview

This role is pivotal in the assessment, structuring, and execution of financing and investment activities within industrial firms facing various levels of financial distress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the Turnaround & Special Situations Finance sector of the Corporate Banking Division, focusing on the evaluation of business plans crafted by target companies and their advisors.
  • Assess the operational framework and principal assumptions of the businesses involved.
  • Contribute to the analysis and establishment of suitable financial structures to facilitate the implementation of business plans, including identifying requirements for new financing and related technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with the team to define the structure of the intervention and oversee the execution of operations through all stages, including post-closing monitoring and investment management up to exit strategies.
  • Conduct Due Diligence and pricing evaluations for potential investments within portfolios categorized as Unlikely To Pay.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models (SP, CE, CF) to support investment analyses and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare presentation materials for potential operations to be reviewed by the decision-making bodies of illimity.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics or Management Engineering.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in banking, investment banking, or financial/strategic consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate corporate accounting and management documents.
  • Solid understanding of Corporate Finance principles, including financial modeling, business planning, valuation, and financial mathematics.
  • Familiarity with the economic, financial, accounting, and tax dimensions of extraordinary finance operations.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Preferred knowledge of legal concepts related to financial contracts and restructuring processes, including familiarity with Bankruptcy Law and Business Crisis and Insolvency Code.
