Financial Analyst for Turnaround and Special Situations

Position Overview

This role is pivotal in the assessment, structuring, and execution of financing and investment initiatives within industrial firms facing various levels of financial distress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the Turnaround & Special Situations Finance sector of the Corporate Banking Division, focusing on the evaluation of business plans developed by target firms and their advisors.
  • Analyze the operational framework and critical assumptions underlying these plans.
  • Participate in determining the suitable financial structure necessary to facilitate the execution of the business strategy, including identifying any requirements for new financing and related technical aspects.
  • Collaborate with the team to outline the structure of the intervention and oversee the execution of operations through all stages, including post-closing monitoring and investment management until exit.
  • Conduct Due Diligence and pricing assessments for potential investments within portfolios categorized as Unlikely To Pay.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models (SP, CE, CF) to support investment evaluations and decisions.
  • Prepare presentation materials for potential operations to be reviewed by decision-making bodies, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders involved in the process.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics or Management Engineering.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in banking, investment banking, or financial/strategic consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and assess company financial statements and management reports.
  • Solid understanding of Corporate Finance principles, including financial modeling, business planning, valuation, and financial mathematics.
  • Familiarity with the economic, financial, accounting, and tax dimensions of extraordinary finance operations.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Preferred knowledge of legal frameworks (financial contracts) and restructuring processes, including familiarity with Bankruptcy Law and Business Crisis and Insolvency Code.
