At MSC Cruises, we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Cruise Event Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role:

The Cruise Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing the flow of special events and activities onboard our ships according to client requests and specifications. This includes coordinating with various suppliers and organizations to plan the event, identifying resources that meet quality standards, and ensuring compliance with Company guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork with Corporate Divisions and Local Offices to organize special projects and events onboard, considering all scenarios and preventing any issues;
  • Be the reference point for MSC Commercial offices worldwide for their daily needs, inspections, and overall programs related to commercial activities on board, both at sea and in port, interacting with ship personnel and departments involved;
  • Venue Management – find locations for events, support catering, staffing, A/V and technical needs, and entertainment, arranging contingency plans if needed;
  • Plan and organize onboard ceremonies (weddings, vow renewals, debutante, etc.), attending site inspections and special events onboard the fleet when requested;
  • Deliver high-quality events that build business relationships, drive sales growth, and amplify brand awareness;
  • Train and assist all onboard Event Coordinators to maintain the highest standard of hospitality;

Requirements:

  • A previous onboard experience as an Event Coordinator or Group Coordinator, or a minimum 3 years of experience in Hospitality (Events), is highly valued;
  • Fluent in English (written and oral); any additional European language is considered an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office;
  • University degree – Tourism field is considered a plus;
  • Ability to work with others, being a strong reference point in large groups, and delegating tasks appropriately;
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop good relationships;
  • Ability to handle pressure and make quick decisions;
  • Availability to frequently travel for business;

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of €45,000 - €60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for career advancement within our global organization. Additionally, you will enjoy a tax-free allowance for housing and meals onboard, as well as paid vacation time and holidays.
