Position Objective

As a key member of the Marketing team within the corporate BU BUILDING, you will play a vital role in advancing the Building Business by overseeing the development of innovative products and services. This position is focused on managing the entire lifecycle of the building portfolio, particularly in the realm of smart home and building solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of market size, competitor landscape, and positioning on both a global and local scale. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and technological advancements to identify potential opportunities for new products or business models, while evaluating their impact on growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with local marketing teams for agile analysis and maintain strong relationships with markets through customer visits and participation in industry events.
  • Product Management: Oversee the marketing strategy for products and services within your area, working closely with the Solution Marketing Manager to articulate a compelling value proposition and identify target stakeholders. Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the product portfolio and support the development of new offerings by defining functional specifications in collaboration with Product Specialists, ensuring alignment with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Business Planning: Collaborate with Commercial Excellence, Strategic Marketing, and Cluster Marketing to formulate and execute the launch plan, adhering to established timelines and budgets. Facilitate the integration of all phases of product/service development, from concept to launch, in close partnership with PMO and relevant departments.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the lifecycle of products and services in your area, monitoring business performance and ensuring adherence to the established roadmap. Maintain consistency with target positioning by defining and tracking the marketing mix, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with other departments. Oversee the product offering, recommending phase-out strategies for products and services at the end of their lifecycle.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role within the building industry, preferably in an international context, with a solid understanding of building systems and protocols. Proven expertise in managing product development processes in conjunction with R&D, quality assurance, manufacturing, and supply chain functions. Strong marketing acumen, capable of driving go-to-market strategies and defining marketing mixes.

Familiarity with digital services and business models relevant to the sector is highly desirable. We seek a professional with exceptional networking capabilities, relationship-building skills, and a pragmatic approach, coupled with a genuine passion for sustainability.
