Position Objective

As a key member of the Marketing team within the corporate BU BUILDING, you will play a vital role in driving the growth of the Building Business. Your focus will be on the development of innovative products and services, as well as overseeing the lifecycle management of our building portfolio, with an emphasis on smart home and building solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to monitor market size, competitive landscape, and positioning across various regions. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends to identify opportunities for new products or business models, while assessing their potential impact on growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with local marketing teams for timely insights and maintain strong relationships with markets through customer visits and participation in industry events.
  • Product Strategy: Lead the marketing strategy for products and services in your area, working closely with the Solution Marketing Manager to establish a compelling value proposition and identify target stakeholders. Support the development of new offerings by defining functional specifications alongside Product Specialists, ensuring alignment with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Business Planning: Collaborate with Commercial Excellence, Strategic Marketing, and Cluster Marketing to formulate and execute launch plans that adhere to established timelines and budgets. Facilitate the integration of all phases of product/service development, from conception to launch, in close partnership with PMO and relevant departments.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle of products and services within your domain, tracking business performance and ensuring adherence to strategic roadmaps. Manage product positioning and marketing mix, implementing corrective actions in collaboration with other departments as necessary. Propose phase-out strategies for products/services that have reached the end of their lifecycle.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role within the building industry, preferably in an international context. Familiarity with building systems and protocols is essential, along with expertise in managing product development processes in collaboration with R&D, quality assurance, manufacturing, and supply chain functions. Strong marketing acumen is required to effectively drive go-to-market strategies and define marketing mixes.

Knowledge of digital services and business models relevant to the building sector is advantageous. We seek a professional with exceptional networking capabilities, relationship-building skills, and a pragmatic approach, coupled with a genuine passion for sustainability.
