Purpose of the Role

As part of the Marketing division within the corporate BU BUILDING, this position plays a vital role in enhancing the Building Business by overseeing the introduction of innovative products and services, while managing the lifecycle of the building portfolio, particularly in smart home and building solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research: Conducts thorough analysis of market dimensions, competitor activities, and positioning on both a global and localized scale. Develops a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements, competitive landscape, and market dynamics, while also examining technological advancements to pinpoint opportunities for new products/services or business models. Collaborates with local marketing teams for timely insights and maintains strong market relationships through customer visits, participation in trade shows, webinars, and industry associations. Product Strategy: Oversees the marketing strategy for products/services within the designated area in partnership with the Solution Marketing Manager. Develops a distinct value proposition and identifies target stakeholders, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the product portfolio. Aids in the creation of new products/services by defining functional specifications alongside the Product Specialist, determining positioning and target profitability, and providing essential inputs to R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain Departments. Business Planning: Collaborates with Commercial Excellence, Strategic Marketing, and Cluster Marketing to devise and manage the launch strategy, adhering to established timelines and budget constraints. Ensures seamless integration of all phases related to product/service development, from conception to launch, in close cooperation with PMO and other involved functions. Lifecycle Management: Oversees the lifecycle of products/services within the designated area, tracking business performance and ensuring alignment with the roadmap for target segments. Manages consistency with target positioning, defines and monitors the marketing mix, and promotes the implementation of corrective measures in collaboration with other departments. Oversees the product/service offering, recommending phase-out strategies for items reaching the end of their lifecycle.

Requirements

A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role within the building industry, ideally in an international context, with a solid understanding of building systems and protocols. Proven expertise in managing product development processes in collaboration with R&D, quality assurance, manufacturing, and supply chain. Strong marketing acumen, capable of driving go-to-market strategies and defining the marketing mix.

Familiarity with digital services and business models relevant to the sector is preferred. We seek a professional with exceptional networking capabilities, relationship-building, and influencing skills, along with a pragmatic approach and a commitment to sustainability.
