Position Overview

The Liquidity Advisor plays a crucial role in enhancing financial operations within INTERSOS, a humanitarian organization dedicated to assisting vulnerable populations in crisis situations. This position is essential for optimizing cash flow management and ensuring effective decision-making regarding liquidity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust forecasting system for cash flows, ensuring alignment between headquarters and field missions.
  • Enhance liquidity monitoring tools at various organizational levels, including headquarters and regional offices.
  • Conduct daily oversight of the general installment plan, coordinating with various finance units to manage bank transfers and reimbursements.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance to determine the ideal liquidity buffer, facilitating strategic financial engagements with banking partners.
  • Regularly assess liquidity risk exposure to maintain alignment with organizational targets and banking standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to missions and regional offices on optimizing cash resources and managing financial operations.
  • Generate quarterly liquidity reports that synthesize metrics and outcomes for senior management review.
  • Analyze factors influencing liquidity, such as fluctuations in exchange rates.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Risk Management, Numerical Analysis, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience in banking or financial services is advantageous.

Professional Skills

  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with financial service platforms or ERP systems for cash flow forecasting.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian and French is beneficial.
