Job Title: Senior Evaluation Officer, P4

Join the United Nations Evaluation Group as a Senior Evaluation Officer, P4, and contribute to the development of evaluation policies and strategies that promote accountability and learning within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation Management: Contribute to the development of evaluation methodologies and tools, and lead the evaluation process for Country Strategy and Programme Evaluations (CSPEs).
  • Country Programme Evaluation: Lead CSPE activities, ensuring independence and accountability, and manage the entire evaluation process, including team building, report production, and workshop facilitation.
  • Impact Evaluation: Design and conduct impact evaluations, and prepare final evaluation reports, enhancing IFAD's accountability and knowledge of results at the project level.
  • Project Performance Evaluation: Conduct project completion report validations and project performance assessments, and prepare reports in accordance with the Fund's evaluation policy and evaluation manual.
  • Knowledge Management/Evaluation Capacity Building: Participate in project development teams and policy fora, and lead evaluation capacity development efforts in developing countries.
  • Managerial Functions: Ensure integrity, transparency, and equity in the management of IFAD resources, including human resources, financial and material resources, and related processes.

As a Senior Evaluation Officer, P4, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experts to develop and implement evaluation policies and strategies that promote accountability and learning within the organization. You will contribute to the development of evaluation methodologies and tools, and lead the evaluation process for Country Strategy and Programme Evaluations (CSPEs). You will also have the opportunity to design and conduct impact evaluations, and prepare final evaluation reports, enhancing IFAD's accountability and knowledge of results at the project level.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluation and a proven track record of leading evaluation teams and developing evaluation methodologies and tools. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. You will also have a strong understanding of the United Nations Evaluation Group's policies and procedures, and be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
