About the role
Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is seeking an enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to become part of the Kitchen Team. The Culinary Assistant is responsible for preparing food items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to guest orders, adhering to production requirements and quality standards while ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare food items in line with guest orders, ensuring consistent quality by following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mise en place and set up the station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.

- Initiate food items that are prepared in advance, ensuring not to exceed estimated needs.

- Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat top grills.

- Label all food containers and rotate as per policies, ensuring all perishables are stored at appropriate temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pulls, and line setups; note any out-of-stock items or potential shortages.

- Return all unused food items to designated storage areas, ensuring all perishables are covered and dated; assist in developing plans and actions to address any food cost issues; manage food waste, loss, and usage in accordance with policies.

Qualifications

- A minimum of culinary experience is expected.

- Proficient knife skills and the ability to multitask are essential.

- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the Italian language is required. English proficiency is a plus.

• This position is based at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze and is a full-time, seasonal contract. Legal work authorization for the location is required at the time of application.
