Pastry Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Collegio alla Querce. As a key member of our pastry department, you will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in leading a talented team and crafting exquisite dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing the pastry staff in daily operations, ensuring a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Perform time management to complete production on schedule and control production quantities to avoid food waste.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to develop creative and unique menu items that showcase our culinary expertise.
  • Assist staff in daily production, including restaurant desserts, IRD amenities, banquet production, plating, breads, and cakes.
  • Monitor and order ingredients, supplies, and equipment to maintain a well-stocked and organized pastry kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with both back-of-house and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience working in a professional pastry kitchen.
  • Experience with a variety of dessert and pastry production, plating, and banquets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
