Energy Storage Project Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Storage Project Development Manager to join our team at REDEN. As a key member of our energy storage team, you will be responsible for developing utility-scale battery storage projects from concept to completion.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing utility-scale battery storage projects, including management of collaboration with external development entities.
  • Ensuring follow-up of stakeholders of the project, such as grid operators, local authorities, landowners, and the wider public.
  • Conducting high-level site analysis and supporting due diligence processes of projects.
  • Following up regularly on regulatory changes and market reforms concerning battery storage in Italy.
  • Cultivating the interface with external partners, REDEN Italy, and REDEN Group support functions.
  • Preparing and owning all relevant documents within REDEN group and external stakeholders.

This position requires national and international business trips.

Requirements
  • Educational Background: Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in developing renewable energy projects or at least 2 years specifically in BESS project development in Italy, with a focus on permitting and grid applications.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Well-versed in local development processes, regulations, and call-for-tender mechanisms, with solid knowledge of grid connection permitting.
  • Energy Markets Insight: Experience in energy markets and BESS revenue streams would be a major advantage.
  • Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with software like Google Earth, QGIS, or equivalent GIS software.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in both Italian and English.
