About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist - Senior Buyer to join our team at Bunge. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading procurement operations in Italy and serving as the main point of contact for plant stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Accountable for direct and indirect spend and medium value capex projects at the local level.
  • Manage local supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, drive cost-saving actions, tenders, and negotiations.
  • Implement regional (European) frame agreements in Italy and participate in regional category project teams as required.
  • Act as the main procurement point of contact for Italian stakeholders, providing procurement business partnership.
  • Participate and support transactional improvements and standardization projects.
  • Main point of contact (SPOC) for plant stakeholders and BBS support team, ensuring correct coverage of plant requirements and urgencies.
  • Takes care of PO creation and management and invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable department, BBS, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • +/- 7 years of experience in procurement.
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving, planning, and organization skills.
  • Proactive and capable of working autonomously.
  • Results-oriented, able to make decisions, team player, and customer-oriented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in an international group is recommended.
  • Occasional travels to other Bunge countries if needed (very limited).
  • Italian and English (advanced level); Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of pivot tables in Excel; Highly valuable a good expertise in SAP and SRM systems.
  • Basic legal knowledge concerning labor agreements and contractors.
  • Able to collect, report, analyze, and control cost data in a timely and accurate manner to support decision making.
  • Able to understand and enforce company and local procurement policies and safety regulations.
