Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stock Operations Manager to join our team at Hermès. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal management of store stocks, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Team and Transversal Management
    • Manage and motivate a team of stock controllers to achieve exceptional results.
    • Set clear objectives and provide regular feedback to ensure team members are aligned with company goals.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
    • Liaise with store managers, sales and service managers, and other teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for stock-related queries and issues.
    • Assign corrective actions to team members to address stock-related issues.
  • Day-to-Day Operations and Controls for Perfect Stock Accuracy
    • Manage and supervise the processing of all incoming and outbound product flows to ensure perfect synchronization between physical and system-based flows.
    • Monitor and organize the cancellation and reintegration of expired reservations into available stock.
    • Supervise the follow-up and correction of negative stocks.
    • Manage detective and shop-soiled products.
  • Stock Takes and Cycle Counts
    • Plan and ensure the preparation of stock takes and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Contribute to scanning and investigations to identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
    • Produce final reports for the finance department.
    • Propose actions to improve future stock take results and reduce shrinkage.
  • Maintenance and Security
    • Monitor and organize the boutique's day-to-day operations to ensure timely interventions and quality controls.
    • Manage external security agents in coordination with the store manager.
  • Define and Implement an Optimized Organization of Storage
    • Define, implement, and communicate storage best practices and processes in line with business needs and internal rules.
    • Proactively perform adjustments to adapt to changing needs.
  • Stock-Related Procedures
    • Be responsible for the appropriate application of storage rules, stock procedures, and best practices.
    • Be the store's key user and trainer on stock-related processes, training new team members and communicating on any evolution.
    • Raise alerts and propose action plans to optimize flows, simplify day-to-day operations, and facilitate team work.
  • Replenishment Flows
    • Liaise with the store manager to pull the right products.
    • Manage replenishment processes in coordination with the store manager, analyzing stock levels, future/pending deliveries, and sales.
    • Help store management to monitor overall stock and prepare purchases.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree, preferably with an analytical focus.
  • Very organized, rigorous, and reliable, proactive, and able to organize the work of the team and anticipate.
  • Fluency in Italian and English, with a third language considered an advantage.
  • Professional background in a stock and managerial position, preferably with international and luxury fashion retail experience.
  • Proficient with Excel/IT tools.
  • Service-oriented, proactive to propose improvements and support other team members.
  • Strong management skills, ability to lead and motivate a team, and drive performance.
  • Professionalism, enthusiasm, dynamism, ease of integration, and teamwork complete the profile.
