About the Role

Centric Software is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant to join our fast-paced team. As a key member of our Centric Planning Business Unit, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative AI-based in-season pricing & inventory solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to onboard clients and ensure seamless data integration.
  • Apply business consulting insights to transform customer-specific processes and develop tailored models for optimal results.
  • Take ownership of technical aspects, serving as a point of contact for data engineering and data science-related topics.
  • Analyze and explain complex data engineering and data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop and train mathematical models in AI/ML and statistical learning to analyze price and promotion effects on purchasing behavior.
  • Ensure model accuracy and develop validation methods to quantify the impact of solutions on clients' businesses.
  • Collaborate with product management to generate ideas and turn them into efficient, well-tested code.
  • Track customer-specific time and effort accurately and ensure stable data flow.
  • Interface with customers and external partners to align on data formats and transmission schedules.

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or economics, or a comparable field.
  • Familiarity with relevant mathematics and statistics topics.
  • Proficiency in libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Statsmodels, with PySpark experience a plus.
  • Good SQL skills and excellent communication skills in English, with other languages a plus.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, preferably in retail or consumer products.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets using SQL, Python, and R, and navigate big data environments.
  • Experience working with customers and stakeholders, with the ability to explain complex data science topics in a clear and concise manner.
