Your Role

Objective of the Position

The selected candidate will be integrated into the Engineering Department.

He/She will be responsible for both fundamental and detailed engineering tasks, engaging with external vendors for the oversight of outsourced detailed engineering projects. The designer will work closely with the Project Execution Department to ensure effective project management and material procurement. Additionally, he/she may participate in technical discussions at client sites or supplier locations and could be involved in supervisory roles during the installation, commissioning, and startup phases.

Key Responsibilities

Specifically, the candidate will undertake the following duties:

Designing the overall plant layout; Creating 3D models of piping systems, supports, and structures; Developing single-line designs for metallic structures; Producing 2D technical drawings to support engineering efforts; Coordinating detailed engineering tasks performed by external firms and reviewing subcontractor documentation; Engaging in technical meetings; Conducting inspections at supplier workshops; Assisting in assembly, commissioning, and startup activities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should possess the following qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferably in mechanical engineering) or equivalent; 3-5 years of relevant experience as an industrial plant designer; Proficiency in essential IT tools (Word, Excel) and AUTOCAD; Familiarity with 3D piping modeling software (specifically E3D by Aveva); Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Willingness to travel for short durations within Italy and internationally; Demonstrated initiative, a proactive approach, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
