Job Title: Material Selection, Corrosion & Painting Process Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Selection, Corrosion & Painting Process Specialist to join our team at Tecnimont. The successful candidate will work on Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) projects, primarily in the oil & gas, petrochemicals, fertilizer processing industries, and power plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review contractual documentation and ensure compliance with safety and cost-effectiveness criteria, contractual requirements, international codes, and standards.
  • Conduct material selection, including corrosion rate evaluation, calculation, and software analysis, to determine the most suitable material grade and corrosion allowance.
  • Define requirements for specific corrosive fluids, including chemical composition restrictions, heat treatment conditions, and corrosion testing.
  • Review laboratory corrosion testing procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement protective coating and lining strategies, including hot dip galvanizing, thermal spray coating, and other methods.
  • Conduct corrosion monitoring, including probe selection, installation, and threshold limit definition.
  • Design and implement cathodic protection systems, including SACP and ICCP.
  • Develop and implement risk-based inspection plans, including corrosion loop marking and other deliverables.
  • Provide assistance and support during design phases, construction, and commissioning, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a similar technical field.
  • Material and metallurgical background with knowledge of material selection for application in petrochemical, power, fertilizing, and oil & gas industries.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Availability to travel to site and/or vendor workshops, as needed.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
