Procurement Specialist

Alstom is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Rome, Italy. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for deploying commodity strategies, ensuring project execution aligns with quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives, and piloting local contractual relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify project and business needs, and prepare and launch Request For Quotation (RFQ) with suppliers using standard tools.
  • Negotiate cost reduction with suppliers and provide inputs for order placement.
  • Ensure QCD targets are achieved, manage CONQ (Cost Of Non Quality) and claims, and lead supplier QCD performance reviews.
  • Manage initial issues before escalation to line manager and respect Alstom Transport's code of ethics and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of buyer experience, with strong negotiation skills in subcontracting.
  • Knowledge of installations activities environment and experience in Signaling and Infrastructure/Civil works companies is a plus.
  • Business school or Engineering degree, with fluent English and international background.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
