About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to join our team at Barry Callebaut. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for establishing and developing our business in Sicily, Italy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the Bapa and Distributors business segment.
  • Evaluate and establish contacts with potential buyers in this segment.
  • Coordinate the assigned sales network and ensure the achievement of business objectives.
  • Conduct regular visits to customers in the assigned territory to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Report to the Sales Manager Italy Distributors and BAPA on opportunities and challenges encountered.
  • Collaborate with the company management to drive business growth and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Economics, Finance, or food technology.
  • At least 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in a Bapa pastry shop, Distributors, and structures organized for the sale of pastry products.
  • Track record of significant business development success for key accounts, sales resource management.
  • Business understanding and market knowledge of the B2B food industry.
  • Knowledge of MSOffice, Sales Force, and SAP software applications is a plus.
  • Native Italian speaker with English language proficiency (B2 level).
