Job Description:Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing strategic business initiatives to drive growth and innovation in the water industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market analysis and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for development (M&A, partnerships, etc.) and innovation, supporting the Business Development team in evaluating the impact of strategic projects on business objectives and group strategy.
  • Contribute to the definition of long-term business strategies in the water sector, promoting innovation, the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and best practices in water development projects, in collaboration with other group units.
  • Manage strategic and innovative water projects, from planning to implementation, ensuring alignment with project objectives and respect for timelines and costs.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between ACEA group companies and functional areas involved in water projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working in synergy for project success.
  • Maintain solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial and technological partners, regulatory bodies, and local communities, communicating project progress and results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all initiatives are consistent with the ACEA group's vision and strategic objectives, identifying and implementing continuous improvements in project management processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Laurea in Ingegneria or Economia
  • 2-5 years of work experience, preferably in water industry or consulting with relevant experience in the water industry
  • Deep knowledge of the Water Service, its regulation, dynamics, and challenges in the water industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage complex projects, from planning to implementation and monitoring, and analytical skills to conduct feasibility studies and market analysis
  • Critical analysis, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) and Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a team and manage multiple activities effectively
