Maitre-Sommelier (m/f) Job Description

Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences is seeking a highly skilled Maitre-Sommelier (m/f) to join our team in Jesolo. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional wine and beverage service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the F&B Manager and Restaurant Manager in their absence and provide support in the daily operations of the restaurant and bar.
  • Ensure the highest level of service and hospitality to our guests, providing expert advice on wine and beverage selection.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to optimize the restaurant's revenue through the sale of additional products.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP regulations in the restaurant and bar areas.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive wine list.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and event management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Completed professional training in the hospitality or culinary industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Experience in guiding and motivating team members.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and beverages, with a focus on national and international varieties.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Passion for exceptional service and a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Positive attitude, pragmatic approach, and strong dedication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
