Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Chief Engineer to join our team at Meliá Hotels International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotels and resorts, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repair of hotel assets, including equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and legal obligations, including health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Supervise and train a team of engineers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including hospitality, sales, and marketing, to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze energy consumption and develop strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in hospitality operations, with a focus on maintenance and engineering.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian languages.
