Applied Materials is a leading multinational company with over 34,000 employees based in Silicon Valley, California.

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our customers and team in Agrate Brianza, Italy, ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment.

The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision, managing equipment performance and supplying spare parts, implementing preventative and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage equipment performance and supply spare parts
  • Implement and guarantee all levels of preventative and corrective maintenance within timelines
  • Support troubleshooting activities and fix technical issues on equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues through understanding of software and process data as needed
  • Perform upgrades and retrofits on equipment
  • Ensure the team applies correct procedures and checklists for maintenance
  • Understand and implement correct work methodologies and procedures as per company and customer quality standards
  • Anticipate and respond to equipment issues and escalations in a timely manner
  • Collaborate and communicate with company stakeholders
  • Participate in internal and customer meetings
  • Assist management in operating site service business and establishing objectives for assigned accounts
  • Keep field management informed on customer perception of system performance
  • Take initiative to avoid and resolve customer problems
  • May initiate projects to drive down costs or increase uptime
