As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving Mechanical/Electrical Engineering services, construction, and implementation of enterprise data centers that meet quality and performance levels across the globe. You will work closely with our Design Engineering Stakeholders, Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams regionally and globally to ensure seamless project delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in Data Center site selection, planning, and development, evaluating different mechanical/electrical systems, and making data-driven decisions about suitable solutions based on our guidelines. You will also act as a resident engineer during new colo construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and handover.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with colo vendors to review designs for new Data Centers in your region, ensuring design input, submittal review, and incorporation of AWS products to meet AWS expectations.
- Support construction, commissioning, and handover as a resident engineer during new colo construction projects.
- Troubleshoot site/equipment failures, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation.
- Provide technical support to the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
- Support operating partners to lead, review, and approve designs for existing co-location (colo) data center upgrades that improve availability/efficiency.
- Interface with operating partners, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, and environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered by operating partners.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Initiate and lead engineering site audits within leased or colo data centers, producing reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediations.

Requirements- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Cumulative 4+ years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering.
