**Job Summary**

Your role as a Molecular Senior Laboratory Technician at Diasorin involves providing critical technical support to ensure the laboratory operates efficiently and effectively, adhering to established procedures and health and safety guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Ensure equipment maintenance, calibration, and cleaning, with accurate documentation in accordance with quality assurance and environmental health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor and manage consumable and reagent stocks to prevent shortages and optimize laboratory operations.
  • Support the Quality department in preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Technical and Laboratory Leader to maintain high-quality laboratory documentation and procedures.
  • Plan and report activities with the Technical and Laboratory Leader, ensuring seamless laboratory operations.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to facilitate smooth laboratory operations.
  • Organize the collection of deliveries and shipment of reagents to other sites, ensuring timely and efficient logistics.
  • Contribute to the Research and Development team's day-to-day laboratory activities, including RNA/DNA extractions, PCR/RT-PCR, and cell culture.
  • Perform real-time stability testing or incoming testing of raw materials, ensuring quality control.

**Requirements**

  • Third-level degree in a relevant scientific discipline, with specialization in Biology and Biotechnology preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in scientific laboratories, with a focus on biology and/or biotechnology.
  • Proven experience in organizing laboratory operations, including consumables and reagent ordering.
  • Knowledge of good molecular laboratory practice and experience with cell cultures, DNA/RNA extraction, and nucleic acid amplification techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with the Research and Development team and other departments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High commitment, self-motivation, and flexibility, with good spoken and written English skills.
