Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of mechanical engineering requirements per project. Study system drawings, conveyor manifests, and equipment engineering hours estimate. Provide technical interface with customers and project representatives. Define project scope, review 3D models, and execute mechanical change orders. Mentor and navigate issues with less experienced engineers. Prioritize tasks, manage time, and develop a mechanical engineering schedule. Execute projects within budget and hours in the contract estimate. Provide technical support for vendors, field installation personnel, and engineering subcontractors. Host weekly meetings with project team members and customers. Delegate tasks to project engineers and monitor progress. Assist procurement with ordering long lead items. Maintain project-specific requirements and apply general knowledge of conveying systems and customer specifications. Communicate project information with other departments and release drawings for installation and fabrication.
Requirements
6-10 years of material handling equipment experience, preferably in the conveyor systems industry. Experience with executing and supporting multiple mid to large projects. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering and design. Some international travel required.
