Job Title: Plant and Equipment Manager

At Alstom, we are seeking a highly skilled Plant and Equipment Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing the plant and equipment fleet for a project, ensuring optimal availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the plant and equipment fleet, including heavy or specific construction equipment, to ensure optimal availability and performance.
  • Provide expertise to installation and construction managers on plant and equipment selection, installation, and maintenance.
  • Participate in construction/installation core team meetings and report on progress and Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) KPI.
  • Ensure permits of work, storage areas, and accesses are available and validated with the customer and/or authorities.
  • Identify critical equipment, consolidate needs, and study rental possibilities.
  • Prepare business cases and Capex documents for new investments and manage procurement of new plant.
  • Manage rental contracts and conditions, including transportation documentation.
  • Prepare documentation and equipment for local homologation and certification, if required.
  • Define service and maintenance processes and QA/QC systems to maintain high plant, machine, and tool availability.
  • Organize plant and tool allocation during installation/construction, ensuring competent and consistent control of key activities.
  • Recruit and manage plant and tool teams, including technicians, mechanics, and operators.
  • Manage subcontractors' work, ensuring compliance with Alstom HSE and local rules.
  • Responsible for budget management and implementation of P&T maintenance and storage areas Quality Plan & HSE Plan.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineer diploma or master's degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a site manager in construction activities.
  • Validated experience in railway plant and tool management.
  • Knowledge of track and catenary construction equipment and railway equipment.
