Main Responsibilities:

Pursue strategic growth in the purchasing of 2-4 purchasing group components for our location in Luzzara (IT). Optimize the purchasing process, ensuring timely delivery of components for our material handling trucks. Work closely with the European purchasing team, Head of Site Procurement, and an interdisciplinary team of Logistic, Quality, R&D, Production, and Sales.

Key Tasks:

  • Operational purchasing for assigned components, assemblies, and solutions.
  • Lead market analyses, request quotations, negotiate with suppliers, and place purchase orders.
  • Manage supplier deliveries, initiate actions for deviations, and develop the supply base.
  • Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, including contractual management.
  • Support procurement strategy development and supplier portfolio alignment.
  • Participate in regional and global procurement initiatives.
  • Support awarding processes, industrialization processes, and technical meetings with suppliers.
  • Manage and mitigate site-related supply risks.
  • Act as an interface between suppliers and internal teams for questions and discussions.
  • Manage crisis situations and respond to unforeseen supply failures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, ideally with experience as a Buyer in Material Handling, Construction, Agriculture, Automotive Tier 1, or a similar demanding environment.
  • Strategic thinking, understanding of manufacturing processes, and industry quality standards.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP/R3 ERP knowledge.
  • Results-driven, team-oriented, and proficient in problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
