About the Role
Valmet Corporation is seeking a talented Manufacturing Process Improvement Trainee to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Operations Department, you will collaborate on a project related to the internal testing process of converting lines. Your primary objective will be to introduce standard statistical tools for measuring data related to the internal testing of machinery.

Key Responsibilities
Learn the general principles of converting lines, the internal testing process, and the processes and logic of the production areas.
Analyze and map the current internal testing protocol, including current documentation and reporting.
Interface with several colleagues from the Production and Operations areas, such as the testing team, the technical office, standardization, project management, and digital team.
Identify and analyze product quality data as well as machine and component performance to define important test analysis indicators.
Together with your tutor and team, you will define opportunities to improve the test protocol by improving current analysis tools with standard statistical tools for proper monitoring of internal testing.
Draft documentation and reporting for internal or customer use.
Learn and apply Lean Six Sigma techniques and work management tools (such as SAP, Minitab, etc.).

Requirements
Recent graduate or master's student in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Automation, Electronics, Management or similar.
Technical knowledge of mechanics of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Solid knowledge and interest in statistics.
Good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
Fluency in Italian, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
English proficiency.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Critical thinking.
