About the Role

As a Cloud Migration Architect at Amazon, you will play a key role in leading our largest and most complex cloud migration and modernization initiatives. You will work closely with enterprise customers to architect, offer, and oversee the successful migration and modernization of their data centers and legacy applications to the AWS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Share AWS best practices and evangelize cloud-first strategies within the customer organization to drive large-scale migration and modernization.
  • Work backwards from our customers' business objectives to provide prescriptive guidance and jointly build and execute their journeys to cloud, enabling business outcomes.
  • Lead the assessment of our customers' organization, technical environments, and workloads to design, offer, and implement comprehensive migration plans to the AWS Cloud.
  • Collaborate closely with sales to build executable proposals for our customers and lead the planning and execution of large-scale data center exit projects.
  • Architect modern, cloud-native application architectures to modernize legacy and monolithic applications and provide guidance and hands-on technical leadership to cross-functional delivery teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Identify optimization opportunities to improve application performance, availability, security, and cost-efficiency on AWS.
Requirements
  • Multiple years of experience in cloud architecture, migration, and application modernization.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex migration and transformation projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of modern application architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless.
  • Strong understanding of on-prem datacenter architecture as well as cloud architecture, security, and landing zones.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers and managing CxO stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of AWS services.
  • Financial services industry (FSI) experience and background.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud and/or operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Expertise in DevOps, Big Data, Machine Learning, GenAI, and Serverless Computing.
  • Experience in Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell).
