Digital Communications Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Communications Coordinator to join our team in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Villanova University.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will assist in maintaining the department's social media presence, conduct student interviews, create engaging social media content, design visual materials, and support various department events.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update departmental social media accounts with relevant and timely content.
- Conduct student interviews for promotional purposes.
- Create visually appealing social media posts, graphics, and digital signage.
- Assist with event planning, preparation, execution, and breakdown.
- Collaborate with department staff to collect and curate information as needed.
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication, interviewing, design, and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should have a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Canva.
Able to work independently and as part of a team, the ideal candidate will also be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Working ConditionsThis is a part-time position with an estimated 5-10 hours per week, depending on the needs of the department.
CompensationThe successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $11.25 per hour.
