The Institute for Biomedicine, part of Eurac Research, is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to cutting-edge research in molecular neurodegeneration. The successful candidate will work on understanding cellular phenotypes related to Parkinson's disease and the autophagy-lysosome pathway's role in modulating them.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain cell lines and iPSC cultures for neuronal differentiation and brain organoid formation.
- Design and execute molecular and cell biology experiments, including ddPCR, Western blot, functional assays, and confocal microscopy.
- Support calcium imaging and electrophysiology experiments, including multi-electrode array recordings.
- Analyze data and perform statistical analyses.
- Prepare high-quality graphs, presentations, and manuscripts for publication.
- PhD in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or related fields.
- Strong background in cell culture and sterile techniques.
- Experience in molecular and cell biology assays, including microscopy and electrophysiology.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
