At Sinergy Srl we are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of Safety and Health Manager for our upcoming project. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the health and safety aspects related to the project, ensuring compliance with the customer's criteria.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management, with excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage all on-site facets of the discipline contract scope of work, and will have a good knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

The Safety and Health Manager will report hierarchically to the HSE Manager, Project Management and the company's RSPP, and will be responsible for interfacing with various departments, including the Construction Manager, the Engineering department, the Quality Manager and the Site Quality Coordinator.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with the HSE contractual requirements contained in the DUVRI, POS and HSE PLAN provided
  • Coordinating and distributing activities to the various HSE Supervisors
  • Ensuring ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard compliance
  • Attending coordination meetings
  • Regularly inspecting construction areas and verifying that workers and subcontractors are working in accordance with HSE requirements
  • Participating in the walk around with the Customer
  • Investigating all incidents and near misses, preparing a report on the findings, including recommendations to prevent recurrence
  • Preparing documentation and contingency plans if necessary in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as customer requirements
  • Ensuring that all project personnel comply with the HSE medical and training requirements established by the client and the company
  • Providing the necessary information for weekly and monthly reports if requested by the PM
  • Conducting HSE presentations and employee training as required
  • Promoting HSE campaigns and spreading the 'no blame' culture for the use of the 'Stop Work Authority'

In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills, and will be able to diagnose and resolve problems effectively. They will also have a good knowledge of Ms Office and will be able to travel if required.

We are looking for a professional with a minimum of 7 years' experience in the Oil & Gas sector and 5 years' experience in the role. Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and spoken) is also required.
