The Quality Manager will spearhead the entire quality function and serve as a vital member of the business's management team.

Utilizing their expertise in management and quality systems, the Quality Manager will establish and maintain a Quality Culture, ensuring quality with systems, tools, and teams to meet customer expectations while guaranteeing sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the quality of all products and services.
  • Hold final authority to provide disposition of non-conforming material and product shipped to customers and received from suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all external and internal regulations, specifications, and standard work.
  • Implement, audit, consistently apply, and sustain the local Quality Management System, suggesting system improvements.

Performance Metrics and Tracking:

The Quality Manager will focus management on the appropriate metrics and actions based on those metrics across the organization, ensuring effective tracking of operational performance.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

The Quality Manager will report on quality metrics from a unit perspective, analyze key organizational quality metrics, and perform periodical reviews to evaluate results and establish action plans to close the gaps for the quality function lead Mission Control.

Audit and Compliance:

The Quality Manager will actively participate in internal and external audits, follow up on actions, and monitor and improve product and process efficiency by providing an independent audit function.

Personnel Development and Management:

The Quality Manager will develop, recruit, train, and mentor quality and related personnel aligned with the LOM, maintain a Succession Plan, and influence business bottom-line results by quality process improvement.

Quality Department Management:

The Quality Manager will maintain the Quality department budget and control related expenses and investments.

Required Qualifications:

The Quality Manager must possess operational and quality systems experience and skills, including the demonstrated ability to design and track quality and regulatory relevant processes and metrics for all areas involved in the production and delivery of products and services in a fast-paced lean environment and under pressure.

Desired Skills:

The Quality Manager should be proficient in contemporary Quality Assurance tools, manufacturing processes, Lean implementation, and possess expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools and methods.

Language and Culture:

The Quality Manager should be a professional in both customer and supplier interaction, a team-oriented and proactive change agent with a true hands-on and collaborative approach in implementing and maintaining operating disciplines, excellent interpersonal skills, mentor, team player, and builder.

Language and Culture:

The Quality Manager should be collaborative and participative in management style, a confident professional able to proactively resolve issues and challenge assumptions.

Education and Experience:

The Quality Manager should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering discipline or related discipline, more than 10 years of experience in various functions of quality management, program, and project management, and more than 3 years of leadership experience and talent development.

Preferred Certifications:

The Quality Manager should have ASQ Certification for Certified Quality Manager and Six Sigma Green Belt, with Black Belt preferred.

Language Skills:

The Quality Manager should be fluent in English and Italian language, verbally and written.
