YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Address project requirements and implement the EMC strategy, supported by initial calculations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the EMC strategy through collaboration with other R&D teams and design evaluations.
  • Analyze EMC standards to establish project-level EMC requirements (system or sub-system).
  • Conduct preliminary calculations of EMC behavior using basic circuit models with Ansys Circuit Designer.
  • Design EMI filters (for both high voltage and low voltage), including component selection and schematic design.
  • Oversee and coordinate debugging activities.
  • Confirm the accurate execution of EMC validation (setup and results) by assisting during testing phases.
  • Prepare project documentation related to EMC (e.g., debug test reports, compliance matrix coverage).
  • Enhance designs in accordance with requirements and cost considerations.
  • Support and follow the change request processes.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electronic circuit diagrams and layouts.
  • Familiarity with EMC standards.
  • Extensive experience in designing EMC filters for power electronics applications, including hardware, PCB layout, and mechanical components.
  • Strong background in EMC debugging methodologies and workflows.
  • Proficient in using EMC measurement tools (VNA, LCR meter, EMI receiver, LISN, and antennas).
  • Experience with circuit-level EMC simulations (knowledge of Ansys Circuit Designer is advantageous) and basic familiarity with EMC simulation methodologies and tools (frequency, transient, 2.5D, 3D, SIwave, HFSS).
  • Ability to think systemically, understanding the connections between EMC results (both simulation and testing), product design, and setup.
  • Professional experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Self-sufficient, meticulous work style with an analytical mindset.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian and/or German is beneficial.
