About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team at Axa Group. As a Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve claims by driving files from opening to resolution and setting and implementing the case strategy under the Claims management direction and in accordance with the Company guidelines and procedures.
  • Reserve the exposure, appoint experts, monitor their mission and analyze their findings.
  • Estimate the predicted final cost of claims, monitor the provisioning and settle indemnities within the authority limits.
  • Undertake recovery actions when necessary and collect receivables.
  • Manage claims litigation strategies and/or alternative resolution techniques.
  • Analyze potential fraud in respect of customer privacy, conduct investigation analysis and draft mitigation plans.
  • Use tools data to extract relevant information, make decisions and provide business insights.
  • Contribute to the costs control and the performance of the technical results while developing and leverage the quality of service in adherence to the Company culture and values.
  • Collaborate with Practice Leadership and the Underwriting team and draft initiatives, including external marketing and business development activities to establish claims' value and service proposition.
  • Cooperate with multiple contributors in virtual or non-virtual environments and different locations to achieve collective goals.
  • Place the customer at the centre of all decisions and actions, understanding and anticipating needs and behaviours and formulating customized advices and solutions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador.
Requirements
  • Expertise in local law, compliance and insurance regulatory system.
  • Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance concepts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Casualty claims rules, processes and procedures (ability to handle other LoBs claims is a plus).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written).
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure in a dynamic team.
